Terms and Conditions

By entering the Great Wine Adventure Promotion, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.
  2. Subject to clause 3, entry is open to all residents of Australia, 18 years of age or older.
  3. Residents of the Northern Territory, Employees and their immediate families of the Qwoff Pty Ltd are not eligible to enter.
  4. The promotion commences on Thursday 1 September 2011 @ 01:00 AEDT and concludes on Sunday 26 August 2012 @ 11:59 AEDT.
  5. In order to lodge a valid entry, entrants must register on the Great Wine Adventure website or mobile application.
    1. Competition entries can be made via the website at www.greatwineadventure.com Entrants must access the site and complete the registration details.
    2. Competition entries can also be made via the Great Wine Adventure mobile application. Entrants must access the application and complete the registration details.
    3. Each valid check-in made on the www.greatwineadventure.com website, mobile app or official check-in postcard at participating cellar doors earns an additional entry into the competition.
  6. Download charges may apply and are dependent on individual carrier charges/contracts.
  7. Entries must be received by Sunday 26 August 2012 @ 11:59 AEDT. The time of entry will in each case be the time the entry is received by the Qwoff database/s.
  8. There will be one (1) major prize winner.
  9. The major prize for residents of South Australia, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, Tasmania and Australian Capital Territory is 500 bottles of Australian wine.
  10. Total prize value for the major prize for residents of South Australia, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, Tasmania and Australian Capital Territory is $10,000.00. Prize value is correct as at the date of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate date on which the prize is taken.
  11. The major prize for residents of New South Wales is A$10,000 cash.
  12. The prize will be delivered at the promoter’s expense to an address within Australia as specified by the winner, except in the case of a winning NSW resident, in which case the prize will be transferred to a specified bank account via EFT.
  13. Winners should seek independent financial advice about any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings.

  15. There will be one (1) major prize winner drawn from the pool of all entries. Each entrant who has lodged a valid competition entry and provided all details required (“Qualifying Entrant”) as stated in clauses 5 will be entered into the draw. The draw will take place at Qwoff Pty Ltd, 15b Richard St, Hindmarsh, SA on Thursday 30 August 2012 at 11.00 AEST. One (1) Qualifying Entrant will be drawn at random from the pool of entrants to become the winner.
  16. The winner will be contacted by email within 2 business days of the draw. The winner’s details will be published in the Public Notices of The Australian on Monday 10 September 2012.
  17. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and prize supplier’s requirements.
  18. The Promoter encourages the legal and responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages.
  19. The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
  20. Subject to state government legislation an unclaimed prize draw will take place at Qwoff Pty Ltd, 15b Richard St, Hindmarsh, SA on Friday 30 November 2012 at 11.00 AEST and winners will be notified by telephone within 2 business days of the draw and an email will also be sent. Winners’ details will be published in the Public Notes section of The Australian newspaper on Monday 10 December 2012.
  21. In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war or act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to state government legislation.
  22. The Promoter, Sponsor and their associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
  23. The Promoter, Sponsor and associated agencies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim that may occur:
    1. during the draw;
    2. whilst undertaking any travel won on or connected with their entry into the draw;
    3. in the participation in any prize;
    4. as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
    5. in relation to failure of an entry message to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion; or
  24. The Promoter, Sponsor and associated Companies assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available, subject to state government legislation.
  25. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to sate government legislation.

The Promoter collects entrant's personal information for the purpose of conducting and promoting this competition (including but not limited to determining and notifying winners), and, if you consent, for the purpose of The Promoter sending you promotional and direct marketing material in relation to its services.
